Suburban summer camp for those interested in a new circus
CZirkidz – a school that turns dreams into reality (and a double somersault)
We would like to invite you to the suburban camp of the Australian-Czech circus school CZirkidz.
During the summer week, those interested in the new circus will try hanging acrobatics (scarf, trapeze, ring, straps), acrobatics on an air mattress and in space (including a mini trampoline), handstands, partner acrobatics, group acrobatics, manipulation (juggling with balls, scarves or cones), hoops (hula hoop), flower sticks, roller ball, etc.
The program also includes other coordination and balance techniques to strengthen the body and deepen fine motor skills, acting games, creative work for individuals and groups, workouts, stretching, and relaxation techniques.
You can choose from three dates:
Term 1:
Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3, 2026/ beginners and intermediateTerm 2:
Monday 27th – Friday 31st July 2026/ beginners and intermediateTerm 1 and 2 are for those interested in basic and intermediate skills between the ages of 8 and 17. The five-day intensive workshops will take place every day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Participants will try out a range of new circus disciplines, including a taste of parkour and acting. Both weeks will end with a short demonstration of the skills they have acquired.
Where: lessons will take place in the main hall of the National House Trutnov
Price: 3,100 CZK (includes tutoring/3 lessons per day)
The price does not include meals or accommodation!

Solomon River Sage, Lucy Seale
Solomon
He received his degree from the Codarts circus school in Rotterdam, where he studied pair acrobatics under the guidance of renowned teacher Wybren Wouda. An internationally educated New Zealand circus artist, he is particularly known for the clear systems and structures he creates for acrobatic training and stage work. His performances combine technical prowess with a natural ease and playfulness.
Lucy
She is a British-Australian artist whose work straddles the boundaries of theatre, circus and comedy. As a circus artist, she creates projects with a strong emphasis on character and storytelling, using her theatre skills combined with circus specialisms including trapeze dance, roller skating and floor acrobatics.

Term 3:
Monday, August 24 – Friday, August 28, 2026/ intermediate and advanced studentsTerm 3 is intended for those interested who have previous experience with new circus disciplines from the age of 12 - there is no upper limit, we also welcome adult applicants. The five-day intensive workshop will take place every day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
This week will conclude with a small performance as part of the Family UFFO Kousky, and is therefore primarily intended for those who want to take their skills to a higher level and experience the process of creating a performance and presenting it to the audience. This week will also include movement and rhythmic exercises that develop musical abilities and deepen interpretive skills.

Price: 3,500 CZK (includes tutoring/4 lessons per day and performance rehearsals)

Please note: due to the current political situation, flights from Australia via Dubai may not allow the arrival of lecturers during this period. We believe that this situation will not occur.

Tomas Correia, Aleshnee Kelso, Kátika Talavašková
Tomas has spent over 10 years training at Spaghetti Circus, Circa Zoo and NICA. He strives to be multidisciplinary and is particularly fascinated by pushing the creative and crazy boundaries of circus and how it can be combined with other art forms such as dance, music and other visual arts.
Lesh She started out with the Spaghetti Circus and graduated from the National Institute of Circus Arts in 2019, where she has gained ten years of circus experience. Aleshanee specializes in partner acrobatics and tippy-ring. She loves to experiment and push boundaries.
Katika
She is a choreographer, dancer, coordinator and art director of CZirkidz Dance Company.
In this third term, he will lead movement-rhythm lessons for the participants and direct the performance.
