The film Golden Path captures the victorious campaign of Czech hockey players at last year's World Championship in Prague up close. The camera captures the team during training, in the cabin, while resting, and does not stop running even at critical moments. It shows the hockey players not only as sports idols, but also as ordinary mortals. Concentrated, determined, enthusiastic, but also exhausted, angry and disappointed. On the big screen you can see all our goals scored, as well as previously unpublished footage from the players' lives during the tournament. Anyone who supported the national team risks getting goosebumps again when watching the emotional moments on and off the ice. Golden Path was filmed by the author of successful documentaries about sports stars Jan Koller and Gabriela Soukalová. Experience it again – emotions, tension, drama, crises and great victories. Moments that had the power to unite a nation for several weeks in a way that perhaps only ice hockey can. The sports film The Golden Path maps the victorious Ice Hockey World Championship held in Prague in 2024 through the eyes of players, coaches, the implementation team and indispensable custodians. Most Czech hockey players, including NHL stars, will share their impressions and immediate reactions to the development of individual matches – however, the main guides are national team coach Radim Rulík and captain Roman Červenka. The interviews with all the players were conducted during the tournament, so there is no shortage of real emotions. At the same time, the creators present the progress through the championship in a unique way, conveying a tense atmosphere and capturing the extraordinary commitment of the entire team as well as surprising details. Who would have expected that the Czech team's biggest problem was not the opponent, but sleep? Today, everyone associates the Prague championship with memorable goals and the enormous euphoria that reigned throughout the country. It was not at all certain that it would happen! The week before the start of the championship is getting tough. Preparations for the biggest sporting event in the Czech Republic are culminating and the national hockey team is under pressure. Coaches are facing questions about nominations, and the preparatory tournament is full of defeats. The hockey players enter the first match with distrust from the media, experts and fans. Coach Radim Rulík also openly returns to critical moments and difficult times, shares his view of hockey and surprising tactical intentions. The 17 days of truth begin. The first goal of the Czech team in the tournament is not recognized. In the second match against Norway, we lose 1:3 in the first period. The journey through the championship is definitely not starting on a golden note…
