Karel Beran, a radio reporter in the Middle East, comes to Prague on a private tour on an anonymous basis. However, at the same time, a revolution breaks out in Kambur, which he unprofessionally left. Fulfilling the duty of a reporter forces an experienced professional to mystify reports, where he simulates the tumult of the Arab revolution on kitchen appliances in a Vinohrady apartment.
You must stand up for your truth, proclaims the theme song of the new Czech comedy State of Emergency, which director Jan Hřebejk made as his next feature film after a seven-year hiatus. According to the script of the journalist and one of the authors of Green Raoul, Milan Tesara, a film was created about a foreign reporter who, because of his jealousy, secretly leaves his station in the Middle East in order to subsequently "broadcast" the most current news from the place of the ongoing revolution from his Prague apartment. Ondřej Vetchý, Tatiana Dyková and Jordan Haj will appear in the main roles of the film.
