VABANK

Since childhood, Tomáš and Ondřej Bank have been training hard on the ski lift behind their house, which their father built for them. From a very young age, Ondřej has achieved top-level performances and is well on his way to becoming a world-class racer. But he needs a new coach — someone from his own generation. The choice falls on…

Despite many crashes and setbacks, Ondřej Bank from Ruda nad Moravou managed to make it to four Winter Olympics — and even one dance competition. We follow the story of the most successful modern Czech alpine skier through the eyes of his right-hand man: his brother, who experienced all his successes and failures with him and comments on them with humour and understanding. Poetically and harshly.

The musical comedy races along as fast as the best skier in Kitzbühel or Sankt Anton. The creators decided to combine an exaggerated fictional story with real events that happened to two boys who set out together to conquer the world of alpine skiing.
