Thirst for life captured in dance
A jazz-infused infusion of contemporary dance based on the play by Tennessee Williams, adapted by Arthur Pita and DEKKADANCERS.
Former Southern belle Blanche DuBois makes an unexpected visit to her sister Stella and her abusive husband Stanley. Blanche's fragile world crumbles when Stanley begins to get too close to the truth about her past. Through captivating choreography, captivating music and an outstanding cast, we are transported to a place where reality and illusion, fragility and masculinity, and warmth and indifference collide.
The production won the 2024 Theatre Newspaper Award in the Dance and Movement Theatre category. Klára Jelínková won the Thalia Award for her role as Blanche.
