A living guide to the land without borders for tourists from 6 months
The Gumák mountain range is the highest mountain range on the island of Velký Labuan. In the middle is the still active Mount Holin volcano, whose eruption is constantly spewing unquenchable fantasy lava into the sky. The local people, with a total number of six inhabitants (of which three make a living by fishing for sounds and lights), mainly occupy themselves with grazing their own ideas on a circular area roughly the size of a child's room. When an idea escapes the bucket or the net, nothing can be done. There is a short period of Silence. Silence is beautiful. In Tich, flocks of stars and pineapples float over the island, and its inhabitants eagerly await the new small settlers who, together with the larger ones, disembark just before Břinkokobrány. All the inhabitants of the Gumák Mountains are friendly, silly, don't use double standards, don't paint the devil on the wall, and above all, don't judge (themselves or you).
The author's project of director Jiří Ondra, scenographer Veronika Svobodová, musician Marek Doubrava and dramaturg Barbora Kamenická Pokorná is the very first production of the Drak Theatre, which is intended for children from the age of six months and their adult accompaniment. A non-narrative production loosely inspired by visual and graphic poetry, absurd, surrealist, Dadaist, artistic art brut, nonsense and children's nursery rhymes offers an opportunity for an initial encounter with art and a unique opportunity to sensitively introduce babies to the world of theatrical imagination alongside their loved ones. The production thus follows the worldwide trend of Theater for Early Years, which in recent years has begun to establish itself on Czech stages as well, gaining popularity among audiences and becoming a sought-after way of spending time together for families with toddlers.
Performance for children from 6 months to 3 years.
