TATA BOJS

Long one of the most popular contemporary Czech music groups, formed in 1988 at Prague's Hanspaulka and known for its energetic concerts. It was founded by two elementary school classmates, Milan Cais and Marek Huňát alias Mardoša.

Ten regular albums, four live albums, two of which are also on DVD and one for HBO, one concept album and one remix album, a unique joint project with the Korean Ahn Trio, one best of, six reissued vinyls, ten Anděl awards and other music awards including the album of the decade (Futuretro 2000), cooperation with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, which launched a series of joint concerts with other symphonic ensembles across the Czech Republic, a number of clips and countless not only club but also epic indoor and outdoor concerts, one large exhibition mapping thirty years of existence at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art, a visually sophisticated and comprehensive monograph called TATALOG, smart lyrics and meticulously detailed music and production - this is how the career of Tata Bojs could be briefly summarized so far, about which a feature-length documentary by Marek Najbrt was released in cinemas in 2024.
