A thrilling film story, which begins with the brutal murder of a young student, takes viewers to the raw environment of a small town somewhere in the north. A pair of crime detectives embark on a hellish investigation. Just when it seems that the case is closed, new evidence calls everything into question and forces them to go back to the beginning. Tensions between investigator Laura Linhartová (Kristýna Ryška) and her colleague Adam Beneš (Kryštof Hádek) are growing. The question still hangs in the air: Who killed Anna Pittnerová? The novel "The Creature", on which the film was based, won the prestigious Jiří Marek Award for Best Detective Novel in 2021. The film is in the spirit of a suspenseful story, where the investigation takes unexpected directions and manages to keep the audience in suspense until the last minutes.
