In the heart of silent forests, where the tracks of lynxes, bears and deer are lost in the morning mist, director Vincent Munier – winner of the César for Best Documentary in 2022 and nominee for the 2021 Cannes Film Festival – sets off on an adventure with his father and son. He seeks to capture not only the visual beauty of the landscape, but also the whispers of the forest. Every rustle of leaves, every distant song of a bird or the snap of a branch is an echo of ancient wisdom, once passed down to him by his father and now he seeks to pass it on to his son.
