The most famous Czech opera in a chamber performance
Antonín Dvořák's Rusalka is a fairy tale about love, sacrifice and the desire to cross the boundaries between the world of humans and supernatural beings. The opera is sensitively shortened and the musical accompaniment of piano and harp emphasizes Jaroslav Kvapil's extraordinary libretto - the singers are easy to understand, unlike the usual orchestral performance of operas. The performance is part of the "Opera for the People" project within the Czech Singing Institute.
