REPLACEMENT PERFORMANCE FOR TITLE ON PAINTED GLASS
Opera as you've never experienced it before
One of the gems of Czech opera in a traditional and audience-friendly performance. The opera presents Smetana's The Bartered Bride in a sensitively shortened form, in a version with spoken dialogues, with chamber accompaniment of piano and two clarinets. Leading Czech and Slovak singers perform in the title roles, including soloists from the National Theatre or world opera stages. Thanks to the chamber accompaniment of piano and two clarinets, they are easy to understand. Bedřich Smetana's famous work thus becomes an experience for the general public - the production is suitable both for first-time acquaintance with opera and for opera enthusiasts. To the sound of popular melodies such as "Proč bychom se netěšili" or "Znám jednu dívku" (Why Should We Not Be Excited) the main roles are performed by Tereza Mátlová, Daniel Hůlka, Vladimír Chmelo, Peter Malý, Vojtěch Pošvář and others.
