What does it feel like when you dream about something for years and it actually happens? Jana Račanová can tell you about it - she dreamed of a trip to the American wilderness, which at first seemed unattainable. So in her last year of university, she filled almost every gap in her free time with part-time jobs to save up money and set off on her dream long-distance trail, the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), or as she puts it, "a longer walk from the Mexican border to the Canadian border, only about 4,200 kilometers."
Soon after graduating high school, she finally stood at the start of a beautiful trail, little did she know what adventures awaited her over the next five months. The first 2025 Students will be about unpredictability, snowstorms in the desert, climbing the highest continental mountain in the US, unforgettable encounters, fear, the snow-covered Sierra Nevada, and deepening love for life and oneself.
