The film Treasure tells a story not only about the search for a legendary and long-lost golden treasure, but also about love and a common journey, which the two main characters have seemingly already lost. Temperamental Julie (Veronika Khek Kubařová) goes to the other side of the world to meet her father Karl (Jiří Langmajer) to talk about their past with him once and for all. And also to find out why he suddenly called her out of nowhere saying that he needed to borrow a larger amount of money from her. The journey takes her all the way to the Indonesian island of Bali, where she not only meets her father, but also thanks to him becomes a participant in the quest for a legendary treasure, which is said to be lost forever. According to recorded rumors and records, these are chests full of gold and precious stones that were transported by a Portuguese ship to Europe in the 16th century and were wrecked in the Strait of Malacca. Thanks to her combativeness and stubbornness, Julie has a unique opportunity to find not only the lost relationship with her complicated father, but also this mythical treasure. Director Rudolf Havlík revealed about the film: "We want to tell an attractive story about losses and finds. About a woman who lost almost everything and was given the opportunity to turn her fate around. We all search for treasures in our lives that we cannot find and often miss that they are right in front of us. They were just hidden from us because we were chasing a mirage." And about the actual filming, he adds: "For the most part, we filmed under the sea surface, and we decided to try to shoot everything really live underwater, with actors and stuntmen. No one has tried this in our country, so we were faced with a whole range of challenges and thanks to all of this, we had a really adventurous shoot. After all, that's what treasures are about, they have to be found, and that's not easy."
