A non-verbal comedy for the whole family!
Welcome to Pluto! A film studio where almost anything is possible and the only certainty is chaos. Your guides will be Max, a phlegmatic technician; a director known as Boss, whose vision of not only the future is blurry; the eager actor Gorge; and his lazy colleague Pietr. Together, they will attempt to create a great cinematic work. Or at least something that does not fall apart before they manage to set up the green screen.
The main expressive device of this comedy is pantomime. Once a radiant art form, today it stands rather in the shadow of film stars. The creative team, led by award-winning New Zealand director Thom Monckton, aims to present contemporary pantomime with joy, lightness and a timeless charm – creating entire worlds literally out of nothing.
With humour, Pluto explores the clash between technical perfection and human fallibility. How much control do we actually have – and how much do we need?
