The exhibition Undisturbed Collection presents Petr Hajdyla's work as a unique visual world, in which painting becomes a space for intuitively collecting images, situations, colors, and inner states. Hajdyla does not work with a linear narrative or with a clearly legible meaning. His paintings are created as open structures in which real experience is intertwined with imagination, memory, dream, and subconscious impulse. Each canvas acts as a fragment of a wider organism – as a record of a moment that was captured just before it disintegrated or transformed into something else.
A characteristic feature of the author's work is the exceptionally intensive work with color. Hajdyla understands painting primarily as a living energetic space in which color relationships do not only carry a visual function, but become carriers of atmosphere, emotions, and shifts in meaning. Expressive values, contrasts of warm and cold tones, and the almost psychedelic luminescence of some scenes create a feeling of a shifted perception of reality. The paintings oscillate between figuration and abstract painting, between a concrete situation and its hallucinatory echo. The author thus continues the tradition of magical realism, expressive painting, and post-internet visuality, but transforms them into a distinctive and easily recognizable style.

The opening will take place on Tuesday, June 16th from 5:00 PM.
