What if you had one night to find the love of your life? A seemingly hopeless situation can inspire people to incredible feats. The romantic comedy One Night Stand tells the story of two people who searched for each other until they almost found each other.
Strange things have been happening in America lately, so the idea of a party that would ban sex outside of marriage is not entirely unrealistic. This is the initial situation in the romantic comedy One Night Stand. There is one exception to this brutal rule. The only night of the year when unmarried people can get off, whenever, wherever, and as many times as they want. It is during this night that the entire story takes place. Owen (Callum Turner) hates this night, especially since his girlfriend has just sent him to a shoot. He would rather lock himself in his pizzeria and somehow survive it all. On the other hand, singer Allie (Monica Barbaro) is ready to go hunting and wake up in the morning feeling like she enjoyed it one hundred percent. When the two of them accidentally bump into each other for the first time, it is definitely not love at first sight, nor even the desire to just sleep with the other person when it is allowed. Perhaps you could say that the two have an allergy to each other, which deepens as fate or chance keeps bringing them together. Moreover, neither of them manages to fulfill the idea they had going into this special night. But sometimes, all it takes is a few intense hours to understand that what you were desperately looking for was right in front of you all along. And that love can be found even on the least romantic night of the year.
"When you're making a romantic film, there has to be chemistry between the main actors. Monica and I spent a lot of time before filming so that we were natural in front of the camera. But the film is also a comedy, so we had to be constantly ready to jump from romance to slipping on a banana peel. I really enjoyed that switching positions," says actor Callum Turner.
