The musical film Michael consistently charts the career of the future king of pop from his first steps in the family group the Jackson Five, in which he showed the greatest talent from the beginning, despite being the youngest in the family band. The increasingly popular group is led by father Joe (Colman Domingo) with a firm hand, perhaps too firm for the fragile Michael. When music producers start circling around the Jackson Five, they all immediately realize that Michael is the most valuable element of the group, and the bravest of them even start talking about how his career would benefit most if he went independent. Joe, a despotic father and tough manager in one, of course, doesn't want to hear about it. But Michael also wants to continue on his own path. And so the calm before the storm settles over the Jacksons, in which a musical legend and some of the best songs in the history of popular music are born. The story of Michael Jackson was produced by Graham King, who made his mark in film history with the film Bohemian Rhapsody, which was seen by almost two million viewers in Czech cinemas. The singer himself is played by his nephew Jaafar Jackson, who certainly doesn't deny his genes. "At first, I couldn't imagine how to even start casting for the main character. But then I met Jaafar and there was nothing to solve," says producer King, who believes that during the numerous musical scenes in the film, viewers will once again fall under the spell of the King of Pop in a moonwalk style.
