The long-awaited film Longlegs is coming to domestic cinemas (and not only for horror fans). The latest effort by director Oz Perkins is accompanied by enthusiastic reactions from reviewers and viewers, who especially appreciate the captivating performances of Nicolas Cage in the role of a serial killer, Maika Monroe as an FBI agent, perfectly executed filmmaking and also an extremely intense sound and visual aspect evoking an atmosphere of evil.
The star Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage began preparing for the role of Longlegs, according to him, two years ago, during Christmas at 5:30 in the morning. While the others were waking up expecting gifts, he was trying to connect with his mom... And likewise, director Oz Perkins was thinking about his own while writing the script, as he later revealed. “I want to create the character as a kind of tribute to my mother. Not that she was a Satanist, but her voice, the way she moved, inspired me," Nicolas Cage confided during one of the interviews. He told The Hollywood Reporter that he felt it was important that Longlegs not look like him at all. And he really succeeded. Concealed under a light-colored wig and an abundance of facial prosthetics, speaking in a high-pitched, sing-song voice, he is truly unrecognizable.
