One of the most remote and least explored areas of our planet becomes the scene of an incredible story, when a pair of travelers set out on their own to search for a lonely settlement of indigenous people from the Matsés tribe, lost somewhere in the depths of the Amazon. Difficult terrain, injury and dealing with dangerous situations are a daily guide in a world where any help basically does not exist. The greatest discovery of the two adventurers was that even in today's digital age, values such as love for nature, the importance of family, adventure and friendship with a seemingly completely different culture still exist. The film Javari is named after the jungle border river Javari that separates Peru and Brazil. This incredibly remote and desolate area is home to several ethnic groups and isolated forgotten settlements that are threatened by both deforestation and illegal drug and gold smuggling. The two travelers return to the jaguar people of the Matsés tribe six years after they discovered him in an unexplored area. “The forest is so thick it could be cut, and it brings even denser experiences – sometimes terrifying, sometimes charming. Watching the expedition of two adventurers takes your breath away." One of the user reviews on the Čsfd.cz server. Mirek Haluza is the director and cinematographer of many expedition films that have been successful at festivals, on television and with audiences. Loves traveling to traditional natural peoples and tribal cultures, which live in equatorial rainforests and where there is still amazing biodiversity and adventure around every corner.
