The legendary Hurvínek turns 100 this year! But he is definitely not going to scrap metal, or rather wood. He has given himself a new film adventure to go with his logs. This time, he and Mánička travel to the distant Tramtária, where they must not only save their four-legged friend Žeryk, who is planning to be eaten by a greedy carnivore, but also fix the broken water cycle. In order to figure out why the kingdom has been hit by a devastating drought, it is necessary to understand how nature works. And such knowledge can be useful not only to them, but also to all viewers, young and old.
Once upon a time there was a flower kingdom full of scents and colors, and because it was at the very end of the world, it was called Tramtárie. And that's where Hurvínek and Mánička set off. The once fertile land was hit by such a drought that the vain princess Gerbera fell ill and became sad. The elf Parliamentarian therefore declares that everything will turn for the better when someone is found who can make the withered flower laugh and bring her "blue from heaven". The task is indeed complex, not that Hurvínek and Mánička are rushing to it, but when the situation escalates and the princess threatens the pair of friends that if they don't fulfill it, her carnivore will feast on Žeryk, they don't hesitate for a minute. They don't have time to spare, and the furry one could be amen at any moment!
There is only one way out of this mess, Hurvínek and Mánička must find the "blue from the sky". On their arduous journey, they meet the Lord of the Wind, but he doesn't know where to look either. At least he blows them away to the Lord of the Clouds. He is a bit grumpy, suffers from a lack of water, and so it's not easy to get along with him. He advises them to ask the Lord of the Springs, who will probably tell them more. And indeed! Even though Hurvínek already has his clogs full and Mánička can barely knit sandals, it finally dawns on her underground! They learned about the water cycle in school. Suddenly, everything starts to make sense.
Hurvínek's Journey to the Tramtária is a fairy tale full of humor, suspense and a kind lesson that nature cannot be fooled. The play premiered in 2003, has remained on the program of the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theater, and even after two decades, it is very popular among children. On the occasion of Hurvínek's 100th birthday, which he will celebrate on May 2, 2026, the performance was filmed on several cameras, dynamically edited and enriched with special sound effects. The simple-minded street urchin with rolling eyes can now entertain future generations of viewers. Hahaha!
