The Slovak punk rock band Horkýže Slíže was founded in 1992 and its founders are singer and bassist Peter Hrivňák (pronounced Kuko) and drummer Martin Košovan, who together with Mário Sabo started playing in a rehearsal room at the Niter swimming pool. Already in 1993, they played their first concert, which was held in Nitra and at which three other Slovak bands performed together with them.
Over the course of their career, Horkýže Slíže have built a very strong position in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, selling out clubs, cultural centers and sports halls on their own estates.
