HEDA GABLEROVÁ - NAOSTRO

 

An American actress, a former teen star, arrives in Norway to shoot a film adaptation of Hedy Gabler, who has been cast in the title role by a quirky director.

 

Is it a long-awaited change and a chance to show that she is a real actress? Or is it just an attempt to escape and hide from problems and the world? Who are these Norwegians? Who plays Ejlert? And what kind of film is actually being made?

 

HEDA: He told me to –

JORGEN: So what? You mean you'll do everything he tells you?

A new retelling of Henrik Ibsen's classic play has been written by British playwright Nina Segal. Her play SHOOTING HEDDA GABLER premiered in September 2023 at the Rose Theatre in London.
