Parts 1 - 4
In the first premiere screening, the pilot of the first part of the series will be shown, which in the first part summarizes the important life and creative stages that Schwantner went through, in the second part he is devoted to the relief decoration of the fountain in Křenov and the monuments to the victims of the First World War in Královec, Radvanice, Mladý Buky and in Otovice near Broumov. The monuments in these villages are similarly composed as a figural sculpture of a war veteran and a widow with a child and thus form a specific group of Schwantner's sculptures. In the second part, the obelisk-shaped monuments that Schwantner and his companion, stonemason Johann Bartosch created for Bernartice near Trutnov, Černá Voda, which today are part of the towns of Žacléř, Sklenářovice and Čermnou, appear. The third part deals with another specific group of Schwantner monuments with massive columnar architecture and figural decoration. These are monuments in Dolní Dvůr and Horní Lánov in Vrchlabsk, in Svoboda nad Úpou and in Hostinné. An interesting detour is the fourth part, dedicated to the Battle of the Nations memorial in Leipzig, where Schwantner collaborated with the author of the sculptural decoration Franz Metzner, who had a considerable influence on Schwantner's work, on the finishing works.
