It all starts one night as a small accident that brings together former political prisoner Vahid and a man in whom he recognizes his torturer from prison. Without much planning, Vahid embarks on a tragicomic sabotage operation that brings together former fellow prisoners marked by the omnipresent political tyranny. Together, they face the question that haunts many nations: can we take revenge on a cruel system with an individual who serves it loyally? The master of subversive Iranian cinematography, Jafar Panahi, returns with a film inspired by his own experiences in prison.
