This year's European Heritage Days in Trutnov is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the main Trutnov cemetery in Husitská Street.

Opening ceremony

- book launch Trutnov Cemeteries
- launch of the brochure Guide to Trutnov 11th–21st century
- painting of the memorial plaque 1866
- the program will be continuously accompanied by musical performances by students of the Trutnov Primary School

Old Town Hall

- exhibition of chronicles and photo chronicles of the city
- exhibition on the 10th anniversary of the appointment of the city chronicler, entitled Alena Křivská: Posters and invitations to lectures
- screening of the documentary The Pharmacist Spiegel Code

Educational trail: Follow the footsteps of extinct and still existing tombs, monuments and cemeteries in Trutnov

Start at Krakonoš Square at the Tourist Information Center, where you will find out details and instructions. There are a total of 7 stops along the way, where you will learn interesting facts about the history of burials in Trutnov. At each stop you can get a stamp, and if you collect all 7, you will receive a reward at the Tourist Information Center.

2. cemetery for the poor
3. former urn grove
4. Monuments to soldiers killed in the battle of 1866
5. former execution ground with gallows
6. former Jewish cemetery

City cemetery

- guided tours about the history of the main city cemetery and important tombs every even hour (organized by the Society of Czech-German Understanding)
- every odd hour: In the footsteps of spiritualism - meeting with revived members of important families, interactive tour directed by Monika Hillebrandová

State District Archives Trutnov

- exhibition entitled In the footsteps of Trutnov cemeteries or the history of nineteen cemeteries in the city and integrated municipalities

Cemetery in Debrné
10:00–17:00
- guided walks through the defunct village of Debrné, ending with a tour of the Debrné cemetery, organized by the Society of Czech-German Understanding
- meeting point at the end of Debrnská Street by the ash lake, parking is also available here

Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary

- remember with us the most famous Trutnov native, Samuel Fritz, listen to baroque music, uncover the hidden secrets of the church or just enjoy the atmosphere of the sacred place in silence...

- travelogue lecture by the Šimek couple entitled Samuel Fritz: the story of an extraordinary man and two ordinary stones
Years ago, the Šimeks set off for the Amazon to search for the traces of the Trutnov missionary and cartographer. Their travels led to the book "Samuel Fritz - Czech Footprints on the Banks of the Amazon" and a Czech Television documentary of the same name. The authors will present the results of their adventurous search and the story of the two stones at a travelogue lecture.
