A combination of baroque music and contemporary dance
The basis is the Concerto in D minor — BWV 1052 for harpsichord and string orchestra by the Baroque composer JS Bach. Bach's original composition is expanded with a codified improvisation created by Ján Kružliak Jr. In the work, we work with coded principles of composition and their transfer to contemporary dance processing. By decoding the principles of the score, we explore the relationships between music and dance, between individual layers of music and layers of movement material, as well as the relationships between the Baroque period and the present.
