After the sudden death of his wife, the main protagonist of the film, Petr Jochec, has to take care of two teenage children, his daughter Vanessa and his son Petr, who suffers from a serious autism spectrum disorder. The widowed father, who used to often work outside the home, now has to take care of his family and keep it together. Although many fathers in such a situation leave their families, Mr. Jochec decides to face this challenge and undergoes a daily struggle - from selfless care for both children, through financial support for the family, to everyday care of the household. The film captures the Jochecs' efforts to live a normal life, touches on the question of where the boundaries of love and parenthood are, and shows how individual family members cope with a new and difficult life situation. The documentary also addresses neglected topics, such as the social support system and the lives of caregivers, but above all, it emphasizes the strength of interpersonal ties in difficult moments of life. The second feature film by director Martin Trabalík, who himself worked as a personal assistant for several years, is a realistic probe into life on the edge of social, physical and emotional possibilities.
