In futuristic Shanghai, humans and sea creatures live in a fragile symbiosis. Timid ship engineer Stefan struggles through a ruthless corporate hierarchy that ignores his vision. However, everything changes when he is unexpectedly proposed to by Princess ChaO, daughter of the ruler of the seas, King Neptune. The couple suddenly find themselves in the spotlight and a whirlwind of emotions on a crazy journey to find mutual closeness, intimacy and their own self-acceptance. Visually unbridled and playfully funny anime by director Yasuhiro Aoki celebrated successes at the Fantasia and Sitges festivals and was crowned with the Jury Prize in Annecy.
