Who doesn't know the fairytale Duck? He has many forms in Czech fairy tales, but he is always a sharp, striking folk figure. The duck in our fairy tale is a young, energetic girl who serves an overbearing and selfish princess. They like Jirka the shepherd and want to get married, but they need permission from the princess to do so. She has been promising him for the fourth year, but she keeps putting it off and putting it off... Káča is envious of her youth and love and invents all sorts of excuses to torment her. He knows that Káča likes to dance very much and she looks forward to the post-enlightenment dance all year. He deliberately overwhelms her with work that day to spoil her joy and make it impossible to go to music. This is the last straw and the spirited Duck tells the princess at the top of his lungs what he thinks of her. She throws Káča out of service in a fit of anger. The more prudent Jirka sees that the marriage license is getting away from them and persuades Káča to go together to the princess and beg her. The headstrong Káča refuses, and even has an argument with Jirka. Kača is alone, music can already be heard from the pub, she doesn't want to go to the dance alone. Here, out of the blue, an unknown traveler appears and talks to Káča. The unfortunate girl pours out her heart to him, and the stranger, who introduces himself as a high official of the Supreme Lord, promises to help her with her suffering. The only thing is that the doll must go with him and he will arrange an audience for her with the Supreme Lord and he will order the princess to issue a marriage license. A hellish drop is heard, the stranger grabs Káča and dances away with her. It is probably clear to everyone who the traveler is and where he is taking Káča. How will our Duck deal with the devil? What role will Jirka play in our story, determined to stand up for his Káča and how will it turn out with the desired wedding? You will find out in our presentation.
