We've arrived. The Sorceress, one of the most successful musicals of our time, will finish telling its story. The audience can expect a fantastic story full of tension, emotions and beautiful music.
The Witch: Part 2 picks up right where the previous installment left off. Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) survives in seclusion in the deep forests of Oz, watching with alarm as public opinion increasingly labels her as the Wicked Witch of the West and blames her for everything bad that happens in the kingdom. Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) pulls the strings in collaboration with the mythical Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Together, they exploit the beautiful but slightly naive Glinda (Ariana Grande), from whom they create Elphaba's opposite, the Good Witch, who is said to save Oz. However, both underestimate one crucial thing - the strength of the friendship that Glinda and Elphaba once formed and continues to exist despite all the circumstances. Madame Morrible and the Wizard can only rely on Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) to separate the two friends forever, as both have a special place in his heart, but he can only choose one. When a huge storm brings Dorothy from Kansas to Oz, chaos ensues, upsetting everyone's plans.
According to director Jon M. Chua, the second part of The Witch is richer in story, but also a little darker. "There are crazy things happening. But I'm convinced that the audience, who went on this emotional journey with us, will want to complete it to the end," the creator looks forward to repeating the fairy-tale results of the first part.
