Bridget Jonesová: Láskou šílená

Bridget Jones is back. She's alone again, goofy, groping, and looking for love. Just the way we like her.

When, at the end of Bridget Jones's Baby, the unlucky Bridget (Renéé Zellweger) finally fell into the arms of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), it seemed that "and they lived happily ever after" had finally come to pass. It was exactly that, unfortunately it lasted terribly short, because Mark died a few years later on a humanitarian mission in Sudan. Today, Bridget is a widow, she takes care of her nine-year-old son Billy and four-year-old daughter Mabe alone, and she can't move from her place. The only man in her life is her ex-lover Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), whom she only uses to babysit the children occasionally. However, even she can't stand the constant pressure exerted on her by her television colleagues, friends and a determined gynecologist (Emma Thompson). They all agree that it's still too early for her to live without a man and that she should find someone. As soon as Bridget finally absorbs this idea, things start to happen. What other damsel in distress would be lucky enough to be rescued by a student (Leo Woodall) a generation or two younger and immediately fall head over heels in love with her? And why does she keep running into her son's slightly neurotic teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who is helping him overcome the trauma of losing his father? Bridget is simply torn, on the verge of new love adventures, but it wouldn't be her if things didn't go wrong again. The Bridget Jones stories are among the most successful film series, with the previous three parts already seen in Czech cinemas by more than a million viewers.
