Arji (Aziz Ansari) is definitely not living the life he dreamed of. In fact, he is not living the life anyone would dream of. He is perpetually broke, so he has to sleep in his car and earn extra money as an occasional part-time worker. Most of the time, he serves rich idiots like tech mogul Jeff (Seth Rogen), whom he hates with all his heart, but wouldn't hesitate to be in their place for a minute. And that's exactly what happens! His guardian angel (Keanu Reeves) senses an opportunity in this exchange to help his unsuspecting protégé. He decides to show Arji that being rich and successful like Jeff is no guarantee of satisfaction and happiness. Gabriel's godly plan has one small flaw: Arji soon discovers that Jeff's carefree life is a life of ease and begins to enjoy it unbridledly, while Jeff experiences the everyday reality of hard workers. And as if that weren't enough, Gabriel pays for this divine gift by losing his angel wings and being demoted to mortals. Lord in heaven! God's Flight is the film debut of American actor and comedian Aziz Ansari, winner of a Golden Globe for his leading role in the comedy series The Master of Amateurs. He also played the central character in his directorial debut, which was shot based on his own script, in which he used his experience. As part of the preparation for the film, he got a job in a hardware store so that he could empathize with the feelings of the demotivated Arji. He then demanded the same commitment from his fellow actors, so Seth Rogen had no choice but to undergo an ayahuasca ritual led by a real shaman. "Her name is Nana, and she did a great job making sure everything went smoothly. I told her to act like it was a real ceremony, and all her dialogue is improvised. I told Seth to stay in his role and react," Ansari recalls of the filming day, which, according to him, was cheerful on set. The audience can look forward to some truly genuine entertainment!
