Bláznivý Marsupilami

Wherever he appears, there is entertainment! The cute Marsupilami has been driving readers crazy with his crazy antics since the middle of the last century, so it is no wonder that after Asterix and Tintin, this legend of Belgian-French comics is also making its way to the big screen. The yellow furry guy with black spots, who most resembles a leopard with dog ears and an incredibly long tail, was brought to life by the most skilled – the group of pranksters around Philippe Lacheau, who is responsible for the successful comedies Alibi na klíč, Super-Blb or Rychle niemość. Viewers can look forward to a family adventure full of comic disasters, misunderstandings and confusion.

In order to keep his job at the zoo, David agrees to a risky plan to bring a mysterious package from South America. He must follow three seemingly simple rules: do not open the package, keep it in your possession, and be as inconspicuous as possible while transporting it to France. As if the aggravating circumstances were not enough, he must travel undercover on an ocean liner with his ex-partner Tess, their young son Leo, and his clumsy and slightly stubborn colleague Stéphane. It is Stéphane who puts the crowning glory on everything when he breaks one of the rules and accidentally opens the box with the mysterious contents. Inside is a cute baby Marsupilami, a rare and also extremely cute creature of unknown origin, whose second name is not by chance crazy. Suddenly they take the other two rules for granted, the already sloppy expedition becomes even sloppy and Marsupilami is the uncrowned king of the omnipresent chaos. In addition, he brings with him unbridled energy and a series of funny situations that force David, Tess and Leo to work together, which they would not be able to do on their own. The unexpected adventure will eventually open new horizons for everyone and show not only previously unknown corners of the world, but also the strength of family ties. Marsupilami is one of the iconic characters of the Franco-Belgian comic strip, created in 1952 by artist André Franquin. The four-legged pet has its own statue in the Grévin Wax Museum in Paris, the French Post Office dedicated a stamp to him, and there is even a planet named after him orbiting the Sun. To ensure that the character did not lose its charm on screen, retained its comic book appearance, and at the same time appeared natural, an experienced team of animators focused on detailed depictions of movements, facial expressions, and the characteristic wagging of the tail. The filming itself took place in France, Thailand, and Greece, where the crew worked in a variety of environments, from tropical areas to seaside locations. In the Czech version of the family comedy Crazy Marsupilami, viewers will hear Petr Neskusil, Marika Šoposká, Josef Carda, Pavel Soukup, Martin Stránský and Filip Švarc.
