ACTION MILLION brings exactly what audiences are looking for after Christmas – a light, fast and slightly crazy ride after a suitcase full of money. The main star is Christian Clavier, one of the greatest icons of French comedy, well known from the films The Visitors, What Have We Done to Whom? or Asterix and Obelix. This time he excels as the locksmith Hippolyte – a master of trouble and the source of an endless series of gags. Interestingly, Clavier also portrayed his own mother in the film, whom the filmmakers created as a digital hybrid of his image and actress Maria Verdi. In several scenes, he literally plays “against himself”, which gives the film a modern, playful and slightly provocative dimension.
